The Painter

The Painter 04:30
As the sweat drips down my face, I stare through your naked smile No more time to think of reasons, excuses and lies The longer that we wait, the paint begins to dry Another tear drop in your eye If I were a painter I'd paint the most beautiful girls I'd keep my paintings Never sharing them with the world We could stare for hours At the pictures hanging on my walls Capture your image Until in love you start to fall I smile and tell you All the things I think I should've done A lust for attention Create a passion just for fun An empty canvas To paint the lives we could've had I'll hide my weakness As you nervously hold on my hand But I am speechless Never truly finding the words So helpless Forgetting everything I've learnt And as I spill my guts I am lying through my teeth These phrases and visions of art Only exist to hide what's underneath

about

Conor Alexander England, UK

A 20-something guy bringing back that sound of rock made by outcasts and weirdos.

Making the kind of music I'd want to listen to.
